Yay, I colored it. *flops over* Still not happy with the lineart, but at least it's not as pixelly as Jackle's. And there's something wrong with the eyebrows (which the original character probably doesn't have in the first place... *forgot* ...but I added to provide expression). There're probably other things wrong, too, but I'm too hungry to think of those right now. *goes to eat dinner*
EDIT (1/10/08): And yes, I do realize my linework's sketchy; I was impatient to finish it. XPPPP I'll probably display this same amount of impatience for a while. Oh, and I forgot the copyright stuff...
Character Design this was based off of (c) DiGi_Valentine of nightsintodreams.com

MASSIVELY BELATED EDIT: He is now an official character in the indi-comic Engelbaum (not as he's shown here, but his original form), which his creator is cowriting. ^----^ Ten-page preview of Issue 0 (and most probably future issues) located here:
I think the issue with the eyebrows is that they don't conform to the position of the eyes. It seems slightly off to me. o.o The expression is cute though, and I love the colors. The only thing I would work on, again, is remembering that there is a skeleton under there.
Now that you say that about the eyebrows, that's definitely it; that one in the right of the picture is a bit too far right. XD
Haha, yes, that's the problem with just drawing things without doing any structure-building whatsoever, which is often the case with my drawings. ^-^ I shall have to practice doing that.
*poofed off to go out to eat* Yes, I've actually had one or two times where I couldn't draw a character without resorting to structure-shapes (I've got much stuff in my sketchbook I should probably be snapping pictures of/scanning), so I've seen that it's a help but... I guess I still have to get used to it. XD That and learn to use an eraser that doesn't smudge things to death. *makes note to self to find/request Staedtler erasers* Those ones are pure win. X3

Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.
Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
